Last night in Cleveland, the Cavaliers ended their losing streak by beating the Portland Trail Blazers. Led by LeBron’s 33 points and 7 assists, the Cavs needed this one bad. LeBron recently spoke of Brandon Roy, saying he loves playing against him. “I love his game, real smooth and real calm, he’s like one of the those quiet assassins,” James said of Roy. “I love being able to go against him.” While Roy may be a star on the rise, LeBron outplayed him last night and any unspoken “rivalry

” between the two does not exist yet. Anderson Varejao also had a huge game for the Cavs, and Mike Brown deserves praise for substituting him in early during the second half for a struggling JJ Hickson. Hickson seemed out-of-whack offensively and defensively couldn’t stop the powerful LaMarcus Aldrige, so Brown yanked him for Varejao in the first minute of the 2nd half, playing Varejao the rest of the game. Varejao subsequently responded with a season high 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Shaq also

played very well, adding 14 points and 11 boards. The Diesel was however injured when scrub center Joel Pryzbilla intentionally fouled Shaq and then forcefully scratched him in the eye. Pryzbilla is one of the biggest idiots in the NBA, and wouldn’t be playing as much as he does unless Portland hadn’t lost Greg Oden for the season. I’m sick of crappy teams taking out their frustration against the Cavs. Don’t let it happen again Pryzbilla.. Shaq will respond much differently if it does.

Regardless, I was reading Brian Windhorst’s article today on in the Plain Dealer Sports section, and came across what was either a typo, or more likely just flat-out ignorance. His first sentence in the article reads as follows, “It is hard to attach the word underrated to any sentence that includes the name LeBron James.” Wrong Brian. Don’t let it happen again.
