In a world full of high tech training products and new fangled equipment we often forget about the basics.  One of the basic essentials to basketball is undeniably the net.  Yes you need the goals, the backboard, the ball and perhaps those things should be looked at harder when deciding which to purchase but that doesn’t make net choice any easier.

Most of our customer buy our standard anti-whip basketball net and would be surprised to find out that for just a dollar more they could be buying our “deluxe” anti whip net that features a larger 6mm diameter cordage.  While this is only a 1mm difference in cordage diameter the result is a much stronger net that will last longer.  At around $5 a net you can’t go wrong.

Consider yourself informed now.  If you’ve been in the game for a decade or more I’m sure you’ve used these types of nets in the past and I encourage you to give them a try again.  As athletic budgets are dwindling throughout the country it may be hard for many people to justify buying top end basketball nets but as many have experienced the top end nets could last much longer saving you money in the long run… not to mention the aggravation of constantly changing those cheaper nets.

So how can you use times or speed figures and make a profit betting on harness races?  First of all, do not take a short price on any shipper.  I don’t care how good the horse looks on paper, if it hasn’t proven what it can do on today’s track and surface, be skeptical and demand a good price or skip the race.
