HANDICAPPING HORSE RACES IS CHALLENGING

Handicapping horse races is a challenging, sometimes financially rewarding pastime. Betting on horse races is not, however, a way to get rich quick. While the world is full of people who will tell you differently, I can assure you based on 50 plus years of handicapping races, staying ahead of the game is difficult.

I recently found a method of wagering that would have allowed me to cash 91 tickets in a series of 154 races. That’s a 59 percent win rate. It doesn’t require any handicapping. It

only requires a little patience. When you find three qualifying factors, you make a wager.

You would think I would be rolling in dough, but the fact is the return on investment for that series of races was $1.00 for every dollar I would have wagered. After five weeks of patiently looking for these three qualifying factors to occur 154 times, had I actually wagered on these horses I would have broken even.

Mind you, there is nothing wrong with breaking even. To do so means you are doing somet

e ever trust me again? Probably not.

There are folks – I call them system hucksters – who don’t care. They know that the folks who would be angry at me after buying my 100% money back guaranteed, break-even system will eventually move on. At some point in time the desperate people who bought my system will purchase another “new, secret, no handicapping necessary” system with hopes of solving their financial woes.

The hucksters know that when one of their handicapping systems stops selling, they can “back-engineer” another system, create another ad and start selling to the same desperate souls who purchase one system after another in hopes of finding their Holy Grail. The hucksters know there are handicapping system junkies out there who will buy their products.

The last thing these system junkies need to be doing is betting on horse races, but such is the mindset of desperate people. They don’t realize that winning money by handicapping horse races is difficult and involves hard work. They keep looking for some magic system that will make them rich. In the meantime, they continue to lose money while chasing their dreams.

It is my hope that you are not one of those desperate people.
